hardmode is starting very soon. I probably won't sign up until near the end, since I need to be sure I have enough to write to actually do this.
So, let's see. What ideas should I try to do this year? (This is made even more difficult by the fact that I can't seem to find my flash drive, the one with all of my unfinished fics on it. And I lost it just before getting the laptop, too. I was planning to transfer everything onto this thing.)
Oh well. If I have to start from scratch, I have to start from scratch. So, leaving out the same ideas that I had last year (here,) most of which are still under consideration for this year, I... don't have that much, honestly.
I have the World of Warcraft idea, which involves two death knights running around Azeroth after Deathwing's escape and finding out that a lot of things have changed. (It's mostly an excuse to come up with meta about goblin DKs and tauren paladins, actually.) Thing is, I have two ideas for these two, neither will reach 10K on its own (or will they? I never know) and putting both in the same fic feels a bit stilted. Ah, well.
There are also a couple for FFVIII that I'd still like to finish - one is pretty much extended blue magic meta involving ancient ceremonies and modern-day laboratory tests, and the other is an idea I've had for years about Quistis's field test for SeeD, and her being in a squad with Fujin for her test. I'm at least pretty sure both of those would reach the word limit.
Oh, and there's one for FFIV - the one where Kain's attempt to return to Baron sparks a civil war between Cecil and the lords loyal to him, and other nobles who don't like the new king's radical policies and who use his regard for a known traitor to start the war. Kain has to find something that he can do about it, even though he's in captivity.
...meh. It's not that I don't have ideas, just that I don't know how many of these ideas are going to last me that long. I should try to do some test runs.

Just... kind of trying to go through one game at a time, and right now, I'm slowly working on the first Dragon Age, which is fun, but occasionally really, really hard. (Why does Leliana die so much? She's supposed to be staying out of trouble and shooting things, darn it!)
