I am finally getting the hang of Mathematica; pity I'm not going to need to do it anymore after next week. (Although I might keep updating the class wiki with simulations if the professor doesn't take it down. Not like anyone but me and maybe the professor has looked at it in the last three weeks. ;p)
Summer classes have all felt much longer than they actually are; it's hard for me to believe that they've only been lasting five weeks.

(Our professor said during our last Statistics class that if we are going to take away one thing from this class, it'll be how to rip people off. Is this why they require an Ethics for Professionals class for Engineers?)

That and the fact that most engineers seem to think they're better or set apart from other people in some way.

Hopefully that class will be more interesting that stats (I hated stats)

Ha. I've noticed a little bit of that. I'm taking the Ethics class this term too - it's for engineers as well as pre-law students, pre-med students, and probably a few other fields I'm forgetting. We do have a lot of interesting conversations. (I find it somewhat unnerving how often drugs come up, though!)

I would enjoy stats more if our professor (who mostly teaches higher-level stuff when he teaches anything besides seminars) wasn't treating this like a seminar. I wouldn't even mind that in a normal semester, but in five weeks? No. This is a format for a sixteen-week course at best, and might be workable in a ten-week course.

UGH I hate expressed courses like that! Either cut the material or give me the time to actually learn it.
