Today in Music Appreciation, we all learned how to spell sommelier.
(I'd be just fine with taking this class, if it didn't cost so much. As it is, I am taking it because it's required, and my two-term survey of global art, literature and music didn't transfer. Boo.)

Date: 2015-05-29 12:17 pm (UTC)From:The professor was trying to draw a parallel between how much a trained listener could hear about a piece, like how much a wine taster could tell about a wine by doing a few things. Turns out he had no idea how to spell the word, and someone eventually had to search for it. I like this professor; he's a bit of a dork. Not in a bad way.
