I went to a coffee shop yesterday, against my better judgement (I have no money right now, it's ridiculous) and in talking to the friendly clerk there I realized just how busy my life actually seems to be, between work, programming, trying to figure out how to get back into school, Camp NaNoWriMo, and trying to revise this increasingly long and unwieldy novella-shaped thing that I've been working on for ages. (Camp NaNo is working out well. It started out as an attempt at an interactive choose-your-own-adventure style cyberpunk thing. It's still mostly cyberpunk, or maybe post-cyberpunk since I honestly have trouble determining genre, but it's also about a woman being possessed by a ghost. In a cyberpunk-ish context. I'm still figuring out the plot.)
Programming project is going slowly, mostly because I'm still waiting on the guy who asked for the program to give me at least a simple project domain. I'm going to have to bug him when he's home from his vacation, maybe approach him with a contract. (I should point out that I have no idea how to do this.) Right now I'm focusing on a fairly simple dice-rolling/combat algorithm. Once I'm done with my current programming class in a week and a half, I'll have more time.
So Tumblr is secretly changing its policies. No surprise. Thanks a lot, Yahoo - I'm glad I don't use you for anything else anymore. I still like Tumblr for memes, and for sharing pretty pictures. I do like the ability to share links just with the click of a button, although it does put more of the burden of factchecking on the person who decides to share them (and I've fallen prey to that more than once.) But for anything else, anything that involves more thought/text... I really need to be archiving that here, at the very least. Most of what I post on Tumblr lately is from the assorted fanart queue anyway.
