I haven't done one of these in a while... and a lot of my WIPs have been lost with various pieces of hardware, so it's a fairly short list. Still, here it is!

He never said as much, but she was an expert at seeing when he wasn't happy with something; she had to watch him so closely for any emotion, any reaction at all, that she'd learned to tell his moods as well as anyone could. His jaw tightened when he was unhappy or uncomfortable, and his eyes smiled - just a little - when he was pleased. She'd stopped watching his eyes, though. It didn't seem to be worth the effort anymore.
