Heroic organizations should really know better than to let people with even vaguely evil names join their organizations. At the very least, they should require name changes. It would make them statistically less likely to defect, or go rogue, and therefore turn into villains. I mean, it's not foolproof, but it's better than nothing.

There's a bit where the heroine is told "The name you choose should fit you, define you, and already be known to you". And a name that doesn't fit and define you doesn't stick. So, really, what's the argument for not strangling Nefarian Serpine the moment he chose his name?
