Okay, admittedly, mostly I've been working and trying to recover from working. But other than that..
- Working on my signup for
newgameplus - there haven't been a lot of signups yet, and we could use more participants and more variety! I haven't signed up either, to be fair - work has taken a lot out of me over the past few days, to the point that sitting down and focusing on one thing for more than a few seconds is hard work, which is also part of the reason I'm behind on other projects - but I'm off today and I should be able to manage to finish!
- Trying to decide if I should drop
megaflare. On the one hand, c'mon, I signed up for 5000 words, I've written more than that in one sitting before! On the other hand, I don't feel like my output is good enough for someone else to illustrate, or whatever. :/ Big bangs, for me, are ridiculously fun to plan, but I always fall through. I might have to stop signing up for them. I still have three or four unfinished attempts at them on my computer, and that's not counting the ones on the flash drive I lost.
- A lot of my friends are planning for NaNoWriMo. I... I have little so far. :/ At the moment all I've got is "Three people who are all very different from each other run around having adventures and being awesome together." This might be a plot, but I still need setting and characters. And I'm basically starting fresh in terms of NaNo manuscripts - again, thanks to losing the ^$#%# flash drive! - so this would be a good year to make it my goal to FINISH my NaNo story instead of just stopping at 50K. I will think about it.
- Eying
ff_exchange's new Chocobo Racing contest. I know there are prompts I could write, but... it's ANOTHER commitment this September, if I'm reading it right, and the little voice inside my head is saying, "Um, you're failing at one and you've volunteered for another, don't you have enough?"
- Working on the last part of my first 'shipping essay, which is in the VP fandom (Jayle/Janus, VP:L.) The second will be the Mass Effect one that
cypher requested. I did another one first because it's a pairing that I ship like burning for no apparent reason, and I wanted to see if I could do it. :p Also, practice for when I start writing things people actually ask for.
- And now, going to wake up my SO so that we can go out for breakfast at a place we want to try. Good times.
