Trying a beginner's training program for joggers. I've done walking in the past, but this is the first time I've tried jogging. I want to learn, though, partially because I want to go a little more high-impact, partially because if I jog I might be able to convince someone else to jog with me and will be able to go out and jog in the dark. (I can't ever find anyone to go walking with me for some reason. Or when I do, they never want to walk as far as I want to walk.)
Today: Fifteen minutes of actual attempting to jog, which was intersperced with a total of six minutes of walking, because I couldn't handle jogging all at once. Also, I was supposed to go at a slow pace, where I could still sing, but I couldn't. I was out of breath the entire time. I mean the entire time - thirty seconds in, I was out of breath. Going downhill. Slowly.
...this gets easier eventually, right?
That's technically day two on my program. (Day one was "Rest," which I thought was odd, but worked out well for me.) I should try to keep track of it here. Tomorrow is "Rest or Cross-training," which I will take to mean "go to the gym for once."
