Something else this reminds me of, actually, to add to the "Stuff I liked in ME1" list: The way that ammo is treated. I've almost never overheated in the first game, and in the second game I went through thermal clips like crazy. I never used pistols in ME2 because of that. I just stuck with my trusty SMG and Shockwaves.
It might not have been so bad if I'd been aiming at a person. I was aiming at a CPU, and the hit box on those seems fairly small. There was just so much bullet scatter that I couldn't do it. It just seemed easier to stick with Marksman and my trusty pistol with Chem rounds.
