Fleas

I've spent the day cleaning and spraying the house as best I can, because I am fairly sure there are fleas in our bedroom. This is better than the alternative, at least (I was afraid it was bedbugs, but I hadn't seen any sign of them, and yesterday I finally managed to catch a flea in the act. We don't have any animals, so no idea how it got in.)

Out of detergent and spray, so I'm taking a much needed break at the moment.

In other news, I got a work-study job in addition to my weekend job, checking in and organizing periodicals at one of the local libraries. It's two hours a day on weekdays, so I think I can handle that. I can cut back a few hours at my retail job if I have to. (This one pays a bit less but is easier to get to; I don't have to drive to get there, and lately it's been really hard to coordinate transportation to and from work.)

After taking summer classes, it's really weird to have classes that last less than an hour.

That sucks about the fleas. Sadly, if the previous owner had pets, they could have left fleas, but you may also want to do a check to see if you have mice because they can bring fleas in too. Also, squirrels...or if you have stray cats or dogs on the property.

Ugh, fleas. The sad thing is that it could be from anywhere. :/ I hope you got them all.

My entire undergrad degree was done in blocks which are month long classes that are 3 hours every day. I did a study abroad which was on a traditional format, and it was so confusing. I'd feel like we were just getting settled in and it would be time to go.
