Rare Pair Fest signal boost

Rare Pair Fest is accepting nominations for this year's round! It's for both artists and writers, and most fandoms are fair game as long as the relationship you want has fewer than 250 fics on any archive.

I've had a lot of fun with this fest in the past, and I would highly recommend it if you have anything that you wish you could see more of in fandom! (It's great for people in small fandoms, because if you're in a small fandom, EVERY pairing is rare by default.) Signups don't actually begin until June 17th or so, but I'd really love to see a wide spread of fandoms and relationships to choose from. If you even think you might be interested, why not go and nominate a fandom or six?

Every time I've participated, it's been a lot of fun. (I'm currently trying to remember if I defaulted last year or not... it's been a long one.)

Alas, I'm way too deadline- and obligation-shy to ever participate in these fests. Will watch from the sidelines and see what crops up, though. :)

I can understand. This is one of the few I'll participate in anymore.

They do open the prompt to everyone at a particular point, which means that you could maybe write a treat at some point. (So if there are any fandoms you particularly want represented, it would probably be fine to nominate them, even if you decide not to officially participate.)

Oooh, if it's one of those ones where I can nominate without signing up, I may give it a shot.

I always work better writing random surprise treats for people rather than assigned gifts. One of the reasons why I really enjoy the Chocobo Races but just never plan on signing up for the actual exchange... =X
