Works in Progress, Part 2
Part two of my
onedeadbunny list. Here are the other parts:
RP Stuff | Fanfiction
I've left off some things because, frankly, I have no idea how to categorize them. I'll add them to one of the lists later.
---
Disbelieve the Sea - Desert traveler on a vision quest, including lots of "magic" desert flowers.
The False Gods - an old idea I'd love to work on again. Someone endows a bunch of humans with godlike powers, but only within the bounds of a small continent, roughly. Chaos ensues.
Garden of Beautiful Monsters - one of my old NaNo projects, a sort of retelling of Rappiccini's Daughter by Hawthorne, but in a modern fantasy world (unless I change my mind about the setting.)
Ghosts in Valhalla - Cyberpunk, about computer hackers who stumble upon a corporation's plans to use its new ability to digitize the human mind to terrible ends. I've tried to write this thing for two NaNoWriMo attempts. Still can't get through it...
Graveyards - Fairly simple vignette that I could probably finish if I were to work on it. Contains obvious symbolism.
The Marked Man - So far, follows a man with a strange rune on his forehead who occasionally does things he has no memory of, and a teenage girl who follows him because he uses the same name as her lost brother. Still not sure where, exactly, I'm going with it.
Masks (WT) - A man is haunted by a woman in a mask who only seems to appear in mirrors, and who kills anyone who tries to get close to him.
Mindscapes - this one may or may not belong in this category. Little fic about exploring people's minds, literally.
Psychic Spy Story (WT) - NaNo '08 attempt that I STILL have not finished. I might rewrite the whole thing at some point and cut out one of the main characters, because I think that would make it easier in the end to get through the main plot.
Sirens - two sailors lost at sea, seeing a siren who tempts them. Old, very old, but I like reading it and kind of want to finish it.
The Witch In The Tower - Little witch lives in a dark forest. She meets two people who've been exiled in a beautiful bright tower, goes in to meet them, and then finds herself trapped. Very personal piece, which is part of the reason why it's proven to be so hard to write, no doubt.
