I'm not sure what it is either, yet. Discrete Math is this weird collection of things... the name of it also means "non-continuous," which makes it the opposite of Calculus, where continuity is very important.

So far we've talked about sets - something I've used before in the programming I've done. We've talked about logic and proofs too, and I'm glad that I've at least had a few proofs before in Geometry. Apparently half of the class hasn't, because a lot of teachers dropped that part of the curriculum due to overlarge classes. Later on we apparently get into algorithms and number theory; I've studied the former a bit, because programming, and the latter is a total mystery to me. Guess we'll see.
