I'm not the only one! XD I have a long way to go, though. First I have to start lifting again, and hopefully cut down on the food as well. It's tough during a heavy semester like this one, and my semesters are most likely going to get worse as I get into 12-14 credit hours a term of the high-level engineering stuff. Yikes.
It does seem like a good mechanic, although I might replace Excitement with Enthusiasm. I wanted to have a mechanic that would work for a Roguelike, but wouldn't involve Mr. Bear actually running out of Health, because that just seems mean.
My current two finished drafts... one is going to be novel-length, the other more of a novella. The shorter one is the much longer second draft of something I posted here a long time ago, about a town that ends up going overboard worshiping the "angels" that appear to them, but they don't turn out to be very divine after all. The longer one is my "one lady, one man and one agender alien are wandering through a planet that is basically covered by giant mushrooms" NaNoWriMo novel, and is eventually going to involve men-controlled-by-supercomputers meta, civil war in various fractured human settlements, and warring fungal hiveminds. I wrote a one-line ending to finish the draft with. I think I know how to expand it; I just need to develop the ideas that lead up to it a bit more.
I still have a bunch of unfinished drafts, including some short stories I thought I had lost and then realized I had e-mailed them to myself when I was going through old drafts. I'm just taking an extended break from them. I tried to do a low-pressure NaNo this year, but I was so tired and so focused on math that I couldn't find time or energy to do much in the way of writing.)
