December results, January goals.
Figured I'd post goals separately, since these are technically monthly things..
December's results:
1. Finish my story from NaNoWriMo.
...so close, and yet so far. I wrote quite a few things and I have the last few chapters outlined, but I'm not quite done yet. There's still another ten to twenty thousand words to write just for the alpha draft. :/
2. Post thirty-one meta posts this month.
No. More like... thirteen? I've GOT to learn not to try to do too many things during the holiday season, at least while I have this job. (Although usually January is a lot better, and this year... ha ha ha, no. We're going to be too busy CHANGING EVERYTHING.)
3. Finish Mass Effect fic for YT.
This one I finished, and I can link to it, now that the big reveal has been done:
An Intimate Understanding (8055 words) by
Wallwalker (ME2, Female Shepard/Miranda, M)
I didn't have to truncate it, although I don't feel like the ending is as strong as it could have been if I'd been able to spend more time on it. I had a lot of fun writing it, though! I'll probably comment more on it on the other journal, if anyone is interested.
So. I had thought about signing up for GYWO this year, but then fell asleep before I could come to any actual decision. The past few days have been difficult. I might still try for the goal, but I've missed my chance to actually sign up.
Trying to keep it simple again this month, due to the whole work-related difficulty I mentioned above...
1. Finish that NaNo novel. (This is staying here until it gets DONE. Although I'm sure I can at least finish it THIS month, if I apply myself to it at all.)
2. Write an NYR story. (I have two ideas off of the top of my head, either of which would work nicely - both Treats I didn't get the chance to finish. They only have to be 1000 words, although most likely they'll end up longer.)
3. Finish story for
yuri_challenge. (I'm not exactly sure where to go with the prompt yet, but I'm aware that there are lots of places I COULD go. Should not be difficult. ^^)
There are more things I want to do at some point, but it's best not to make too many goals at once.
