Yay! I am glad you're having fun with it. It's a really neat game. (And vector is now replaying the first one for us, so we can see all the stuff that happened beforehand -- there are so many references to choices from the first game, it's really neat to see how that plays out.)
I sort of want to say "yes, this!" to almost everything in this post, really -- Jacob's creepy Lord-of-the-Flies-esque loyalty mission, and Thane being really interesting and cool, and the Paragon choices just generally feeling better almost all the time, and Joker being rad. mmf. We also would have liked the chance to get involved with him. I mean, surely if we can figure out how to get busy with a species whose proteins are completely incompatible with ours, we should be able to handle sleeping with Joker and not breaking any of his bones, right?
...We also got pretty annoyed at having our run-around-the-galaxy funtime interrupted by that particular mission -- Illusive Man, can't you see we are busy here? there are planets to mine and sidequests to do! Your shady galaxy saving can wait!
